Welcome to the Bee’s Knees, I’m your host Jacy Meyer. The Bees Knees is a podcast wild about native bees. We’re going to be kicking off Season 2 in February and I wanted to give you a quick preview of what you’ll hear and learn in 2024.

In Season 1 we learned a lot. We talked to researchers and other bee experts from around the world about the threats native bees face, and what we can do to help. We talked about native planting, nesting sites, agricultural interventions, pesticides, solar panels, wildflower meadows, and so much more.

In Season 2, I want us all to be inspired. I’ll continue to bring you the latest research and innovative concepts surrounding native bees from around the world, but I also want to share with you ideas and inspiration for helping the bees that live in your neighborhood, in your city. How can we all create a little extra buzz, right where we are.

If you haven’t already done so, please join The Hive, our twice-a-month newsletter. Season 2’s first episode drops Tuesday, February 6.

And finally, I’d like to take a moment to express my gratitude to everyone who has been tuning in, downloading, liking, following, reviewing, and sharing The Bee’s Knees. Your support not only touches my heart, but is also a true testament to the growing community of individuals who are passionate about preserving our native bee populations. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
